Whether a newbie or a fanatic, almost all have been looking forward to the official release of the EA Sport’s FIFA 18. Its prior release, FIFA 17 became the largest selling FIFA ever.
While the FIFA 18 would bring out more amazing experiences to the gamers but it also has some mixed new on the issue.
Case 1: Game will not be released on older consoles.
It’s been mentioned that EA might not launch the FIFA 18 in PS3 and the Xbox 360.
The decision came after these two consoles saw issues with Frostbite engine. FIFA 17 introduced the Frostbite engine to render gamers a more realistic version of the game. But the engine came to be an advanced that the last generation consoles like PS3 and Xbox 360 couldn’t support. These consoles eventually resulted in a poor version of the FIFA 17. There was a compatibility error on PS3 and Xbox 360. This resulted in annoyance to the gamers receiving the version of the game lacking both Frostbite Engine and the main attraction of the game, The Journey Feature.
It seems that EA Sports have planned to take down FIFA 18 from the earlier generation consoles including PS3 and Xbox 360. So, it is expected, FIFA 18 will not be released for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Case 2: Game will be released but won’t be the same.
However, there are a ton of people who play on these old consoles. EA would not want to loose all the existing FIFA fans.
The alternate solution that EA currently applies for FIFA 17 is that the game with Frostbite version performs well in newer consoles whereas there is an option to choose older engine by lowering down your engine use. This is practiced in personal computer as they have free access to a PC’s GUI and the game renders smoothly in them,
However, the problem with this could be the robust configuration of PS3 and Xbox 360. EA might require permission to change the configuration of their game for just the older system.
